The heading got 'yall in didn't it???
Just kidding I'll explain the discounts after I have given you a brief overview of who the hell Wicked Lady Cards is. Well basically my name is Wendy Duwakin I started making cards over 20 years ago and was selling them at local markets, I was only 18 at the time and didn't have much disposable income so I had to make do with what I could find and also come up with my own ideas - great breeding ground for originality! Around 10 years ago life took over i.e. parties, parties, travel and more parties and I kind of lost my creative side until a few years ago when someone mentioned I should share with the world what I can create (I might have married the person who said that).
I set about rediscovering cardmaking, and along the way I found some amazing friends, I also found off-the-page (HELLO) and low and behold I am currently working on my first ever scrapbooking page for class next month.
What you will find in my classes is a great environment to create something amazing that you can walk away proud of. I'm getting to the discounts! In my own classes (those that are not Stampin Up) you will make 4 cards with enough product to make an additional 2 cards at home. I am looking at trying to incorporate the same for the off the page project i.e the ability to make the exact same project at home but will keep you posted on this aspect.
Discounts, Discounts, Discounts
So what I am offering is the following:-
* Book in for any 3 classes in a month and get 5% discount (limited time offer)
* Book in for all 5 classes in a month and get 10% discount (limited time offer)
Reserve your place now!
Cheers

Class Location Confirmed
Good evening all you night owls out there - would you believe that I have had to hold myself back from doing posts over the last couple of days. It's not my fault really I just have so much to share, however the most important thing is that I have finalised a "LOCATION" for teaching my classes.
They are going to be held at Metro Community Hub, 22 Qualtrough St Woolloongabba Qld 4102, the room is air conditioned, tea and coffee making facilities a fridge, off street parking and the Norman hotel is just down the street for lunch, what more could we ask for ladies.
Because I am so pumped at the moment, I am currently finalising the class schedule for June, and there has been a request for mini canvas fridge magnets so we will be doing these as an off the page project.
Lastly I will leave you with a card I did for a friend - basically the hearts you see down the side were given as a part of a wedding reception and she wanted to incorporate these onto a anniversary card for the happy couple (really nice idea) so this is what I came up with using Graphic 45 French Country, mica flakes and some words from Scrapmatts.
Think it turned out okay.
Sometimes is okay to let your background paper do all the talking!

Card & Scrapbooking Class Schedule
Well, well, well three posts in five days what is going on? I think the earth is going to implode! Anyway just a quick post today to let you know the class schedule for May has gone up under the "Classes" tab. A sneak peak of the finished products should be up by the end of next week along with some information about each class.
If you are interested in registering for a class please use the purple email button on my home page and send me an email with the subject line "Class Registration" and the following information:-
Name:
Mobile Number:
Class Name:
Class Date:
Email Address:
I will then confirm your booking and let you know the payment details. NOTE: Payment is required prior to class, I am a small start up business ladies and I need to know that you are fully committed to attend. The cost of the class includes a full kit and you should have some bits to take home as well.
If for some reason you are unable to make class - please let me know and I will either offer a credit for another class or refund your payment.
At the moment the location of classes is still being firmed up but this should be done by the end of the week, and I am looking at the Woolloongabba area which I think is central to everyone.
You will also notice that I am offering a great day once a month called "Stampin' Up Sunday" - I have just joined as an independent Stampin' Up Demonstrator so this day is totally focused on the beautiful products which this company makes and using them on cards, layouts and off-the-page items as well as the opportunity to place orders.

Craft Show Run Down
So as promised I thought I would give you a quick run down of the annual Stitches & Craft show held in Brisbane over the weekend. I know every die hard scrapbooker saves themselves for June long weekend as that is when Brisbane gets invaded with all things paper, however the shows that are held in March & Oct do have some paper based craft stalls and ideas and sometimes you may just spot something new!
Catchy Crafts were here again and they were demonstrating a new motorised cuttlebug which I think is perfect for you ladies suffering from RSI or arthritis - the handle can be used or use it fully motorised very cool and compact.
http://www.catchycrafts.com.au/
The other interesting item which has caught my eye a few times at these shows is Powertex Fabric Hardener but I have missed out on their workshops each time for one reason or another. According to their website it is a liquid textile hardener - I think the application for this in the mixed media / scrapbooking world is just waiting to be explored as I haven't really seen anyone using it in this way yet.
http://www.powertex.com.au/
Lastly and probably one of the most exciting things I saw from a paper crafting perspective was a little item known as a "Pringo". It is a small portable WiFi printer!!!!!! It prints photos from iTunes and Andriod devices with the finished product about the size of a credit card. Great if you wanted to do a collage of photos in your scrapbooking or off the page project. They retail online for around $170 with some paper thrown in and the app which goes with it allows for some very cool photo editing just to add your own flair.

Hope you enjoy just a few of the items I thought were blogworthy!
Cheers

My First Ever Blog & Cool Project to Share
So the layout of the blog has been done for some time now, yet I have been procrastinating about what the hell I should blog about! This made me go back to the very heart of why I wanted to do this and why it has taken me so long to embrace the world of "on-line anything & everything". Basically I want to share with you (whoever you may be) my creations, and not because they are anything mind blowing but if I don't share them with someone they will sit in my studio and the only person who will ever see them is myself and my lucky bamboo!!
So not to drag on too much I thought I would share a project I finished in January which had been floating around in my head for a long time and which took me just as long to gather up all the little trinkets I needed to complete it. First the finished product and then I will tell you a bit about it.
It is a Twiddleybitz ATC Hinged Cupboard made from MDF and spray painted black - things start to get a bit gruesome once you open the door, cue the deep blood curdling scream!!!!! Just kidding!!
I have lined the back, top and bottom inside with Graphic 45, Steampunk Spells, in the little glass jars is a heart, mustache and micro beads not to forget one of Tim Holtz's wishbones. Inside still and I have used a cotton wool bud to give the effect of cobwebs in the top left corner and hanging on the side you will see a hacksaw coated in blood (red micro beads). Also hanging from the roof is a Tim Holtz lantern which my lovely husband modified for me so I could stick it flush to the roof, and the part I really love is that I was able to run the lead to the battery pack out the side and hide it under what looks like old metal water pipes. So the light actually does work - very cool. On the outside you have a cows skull on the door and a black rose and spiders web on the side. The green moss effect was created with some stuff I purchased from a wedding planner - seriously - I think it is used for centerpieces or something, prior to adding the moss I used some Inca Gold and lightly brushed it all over. On the back is an awesome skeleton cameo which just sets the whole thing off perfectly. The thing I am most proud of about this project is that it is totally mine, not inspired by anyone else or something I saw in a magazine (if you have seen something similar it is totally a coincidence).
I have lots of photos so if you would like to see more click on the gallery tab.
Stay tuned for those of you not able to get to the Stitches & Craft show this weekend in Brisbane I will do a bit of a rundown for you over the weekend to keep you up to date on whats new and anything that impresses me.
So maybe, just maybe you might also like to come to one of my classes and create some awesomeness out of paper! Then keep reading, my class schedule will be live from this weekend - if you are interested in attending please email (the little purple button on the right) to reserve your spot with subject line "Class Reservation" and I will send you back all the required information and payment details. Samples of the classes should go up in the next couple of weeks. I will be running card classes and off-the-page projects.
Thanks for reading and stop by again soon.
Cheers
